Enterprise Whitsundays is involved with a number of key strategic projects that are in place to support the economic development of the region.
We are a specialised regional and economic development organisation that assists industry, business, government and the community with changing economic dynamics and pressures. In many instances the benefits the organisation provides are not known or recognised by the community, as we make a difference by working behind the scenes.

Investment Attraction
|
EW will be the lead organisation in the promotion of the Whitsundays as a place to live, work and invest
Key deliverables:
· Regional economic profile
· Regional development register
· Marketing strategies and collateral

· Development of comprehensive regional profile for prospective investors and residents
· Researching private and public investment and/or funding options for the region
· Production of a Development Register that covers information on major projects in the region
· Specific pitches and briefing papers to investor and relevant government bodies developed

Maximising Opportunities
|
EW will investigate all opportunities to advance our region, including with all levels of Government, private investors, joint ventures, PPP’s – to deliver key infrastructure, projects and programs for our region.

· Small Business Advisory and Small Business Online funding received from Federal Government.
· Developed funding proposal to Federal Government for the implementation of a Tourism and Hospitality College plan
· Proposal submitted to State Government to undertake Marine infrastructure audit and identify key opportunities for the region and the attraction of investors
· Preparation of Grants and Funding submissions for Whitsunday Regional Council.
· Attraction of funding from Blueprint 4 Bush for the implementation of Regional Branding Project – Made in the Whitsundays.

EW will continue to invest in people, business and industry. We will offer programs and develop projects that build capacity, strengthening our existing resources and providing them with opportunities for growth.
