The Whitsunday Development Corporation Ltd (WDC) is a not-for-profit public company that is dedicated to the promotion of sustainable economic development in the Whitsundays.
The Organisation is committed to the following specific objectives:
- Retention, expansion and diversification of existing industries and commercial activity

- Attraction of new industries and commercial enterprises

- Identification and promotion of prospective investments and opportunities that exist

- Identification and promotion of prospective products and services

- Maximising opportunities for government and non-government funding

- Establishment of effective consultation with industry, business, community and relevant stakeholders

- Establishment of strong working relationships with Federal, State and Local government
